The Sexualization of the Culture Has Consequences in the Classroom
37% of all school employee discipline actions in AZ since 2012 involved sexual interest in children...2023 and 2024 is looking to be much the same
If you don’t follow me on Twitter(X), you’re missing my monthly reports highlighting teacher and school employee discipline actions by the Arizona State of Board of Education. Month after month, the Professional Practices Advisory Committee to the State Board hears case after case of misconduct before sending up to the Board for action. While the PPAC does not publicly file reports (and the livestream YouTube broadcast of their hearings is immediately deleted at the end of each session, for some reason), a case summary is submitted when sent up to the Board. And that’s where I get the content for these reports.
It takes time and effort. A local, mainstream media journalist once reached out to me asking how to get the data I present - only to back away after I explained the process and effort required.
But here’s why I do it:
From 2012-2022, 37% of all cases involved sexual interest in children at Arizona schools. This is an astonishing number. Parents need to understand, they need to be aware - children must be guarded everywhere. Teach them. Watch them. If an individual teacher or coach - of either sex - takes a special interest in your child, be wary. Be intrusive. Check social media. Look for changes in behavior, patterns.
This trend is only growing worse over time:
Something has changed. You sense it. The culture has shifted. And it’s in the classrooms. We can only speculate what happened in 2015 when the trend line above suddenly jumps…
Remember the slippery slope argument? Some call it a fallacy. But is it?
Unfortunately the results in 2023 - and 2024 - will likely very much fall within this ~40% range. We will know about 2023 within days and I’ll provide an overview once available. At the end of the year the Board compiles and publishes anonymized data from the reports as required by law. Annual Reports are available here. Look for individual actions when they go to the Board as agenda items here.
For now, here are some highlights from 2023-24 in no particular order or rank. Click the image to be taken to the full Twitter(X) thread.

You get the picture. Protect your child.
